Home Garden Seed Kits

Dirk, our Chef de Cuisine, has planned out a kit for creating a fabulous vegetable garden for 2010. Each kit will contain seeds for ten types of (mostly heirloom) vegetables along with growing instructions, descriptions and some tips. We are offering these packages to our guests for $25 each. The quantity of seeds will be enough to cover a good sized backyard garden of roughly 15x15 feet. The vegetables which Dirk has selected are: Maxibel Beans, Chantenay Carrots, Harris Model Parsnips, Five Colour Swiss Chard, French Breakfast Radishes, Chioggia Beets, Jacob’s Cattle Baking Beans, Laurentian Turnips, Bush Delicata Squash, and Fava Beans. To make the experience of growing this produce yourself as fulfilling as possible, we focused on vegetables you would not typically find at your local grocery store. As well, the harvest dates will be spread throughout summer and fall, so you should always have one new crop coming along when another is winding down. We will be accepting orders until Monday April 12th and will distribute the vegetable kits by the end of April for an early to late May planting.
